Corrupt people shall utterly perish in their own corruption (2 peter 2:12). Do not envy corruption. It does not last. It drains your soul. Corruption does not only involve money, but many things. Pray that you do not join the band of corruption.
I argue that we have to allow God to provide everything in our lives. I am NOT saying that we do nothing about our situation. We have to let Him take control of every corner of our lives. We have to consult God before, during and after we take any step. God created us, thus, He knows what is best for us. If we interfere in His plans for us, we are likely to jeopardise our happy future by casting an erroneous one in the present. The universe principle is simple: God’s ways are neither our ways nor our plans His (Isaiah 55: 8).
We are likely to let God take control of our friends’ lives when we learn to allow Him to take charge of our own lives. It is hard to allow God to do things for our friends without our interference when we do not allow Him in our OWN lives to work wonders on His own.
Usually, we want sincerely to help God help our friends. Besides, we do not realise that we are trying to help God. We think that we are doing something good for our friend. Yet, we are sincerely wrong. There is no human that can help God because He is the source of the help in our lives.
We mean well, for example, when we speak positively about our friend to influence a job interviewer/employer to give a job to such a friend. Yet, we forget that we are actually being sincerely wrong when we influence the decisions of a job-interviewer/employer on behalf of our friend. We are interfering with God’s ways of doing things. God sees beyond our blurred vision. He sees the true heart of a job interviewer/employer. Thus, He knows when the job is right or wrong for our friend. As such, when we push things on behalf of God for our friend to have a job, we are likely to get our friend a temporal job, since we have no ability to see inside a job interviewer’s/ employer’s heart. That is partly why; we often wonder what our friend did to lose a job months later! We forget that we interfered into the process of that friend to receive a job through God’s ways.
I am NOT saying that we cannot recommend friends for a job! There is a HUGE difference between making a recommendation and interfering with the process of acquiring a job. To recommend someone, we stress on one’s excellent skills, qualifications, etc and then we allow a job interviewer/employer to make one’s own decision whether to grant our friend a job or not. Yet, plausibly, interfering does not allow a job interviewer/employer to make one’s own decision.
Often, we do not see our act as interfering. As such, we do not consider it as something terribly wrong, since we have done it for so many years. Probably, we ourselves have survived in similar ways for years, acquiring jobs through shortcuts.
As such, we are shuttered terribly when our friend refuse to take such a job that we influenced a job interviewer/employers to give our friend a job through shortcuts. We get angry with our friend, and we do not want to help such a friend ever again after refusing to take part into our shortcuts.
What happened to the world that it lost the shame of acquiring jobs, relationships, money, etc through unacceptable means? let’s share the basics of life that we have lost with our friends, who often desire using unacceptable shortcuts to life!

God has His own ways of doing things. A friend came to visit me this afternoon. I did not go to the library to work on my thesis. She brought me some food. Interestingly, she surprised me with this food-gift comprising many things I love such as grapetiser, fat-free milk, flora butter, pasta, chicken, eggs, brown sugar, etc. It feels great receiving something one did not expect. I am grateful to God and to my friend…
No one was born a writer. I have never ever heard of childbirth comprising a baby with a computer or paper and pens. Writing is an invention of the mind. People figured out how to keep their thoughts into media formats. Writing is one of the many media formats. It means anyone can write as long as one has the ability and passion to do so. Some are really great authors, but environment favours others. However, this should not discourage anyone from enjoying the gift of writing. Start by writing short stories for children in orphanages lacking reading materials. Your writing skills are likely to improve.

An author keeps daily in tune with writing. A minimum of ten minutes is excellent to write something creatively each day. A good writer is one with the ability, inter alia, to use common words in unique ways. This requires playing with words: shifting arrangements, common meanings, etc. This grows with practice.
For example, I shrunk onto my chair, with a pen in my excited left hand, ready to exhibit my new ideas, heavy into the bosom of my belly, eager to burst out.
A reader can say several things about this sentence. That makes reading exciting, since a reader might wish to find out, why the author uses the word shrunk as opposed to sit, why announce that the author is left-handed, which ideas are new anyway, and why the author is eager to write, etc. Writing creatively helps to keep the reader alert, enjoy a piece of writing, become critical of the author. By so doing, the author engages with the reader. Thus, it is important to write daily whether one is a fiction or non-fiction author.
I hope that this rekindled your interest in writing. Share your views with me!

Sometimes, it is frightening to see God answer us immediately after our prayers, since we realise that God is constantly listening to us whether we talk positively or not. It is actually the realisation that we talked negatively that scares us. Thus, it is important to speak well to God all the time because He listens to us always.

When you live in a fast-moving city, it might be difficult to find quality time to rest and listen to your body. Yet, it is very important that we take time to listen to ourselves. The body tells us a lot about us on a particular day. When we are feeling happy, tired, successful, etc our bodies sculpture that information within us. Interestingly, God speaks to us through diverse channels. The body is simply one of His several channels. If we do not take time to listen to our bodies, we might miss important messages from God. It could be late in the evening when it is quite and still, or in the wee hours of the morning, or when taking a bath that we might find a brilliant time to listen to our bodies. It is important that we stop running, and listen. Often, God uses a small still voice to communicate something important to us. If we are always busy, we will not hear that voice. Elijah, a man of God, almost missed God’s voice because he went looking for God in the violent winds, earthquake and fire. Yet, God was not in those noisy incidents. In the midst of loud incidents, God called Elijah in a small still voice, and Elijah heard Him because he had made time to meet with God in the mountains (1 Kings 19: 11-13). Let’s create one-on-one time with God daily, even if it is only for a few minutes! It is important for our souls as well as our own well-being.
