SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL SUPPORT DETERS DROP-OUTS
I am sure that you have heard of school drop-outs–children who fall off the formal education system for various reasons. However, I want to bring to your attention that we do have also drop-outs in the weight loss programme. These are people, who for various reasons fail to complete the programme. In line with this, I want to discuss briefly the importance of having both spiritual and physical support during your weight loss programme. It might be hard for you to continue with your exercises when you do not have any form of support. Any little thing can destabilize you. To complete your 5 months weight loss plan, you need to have both God and close friends around you. I recommend that you find this support right now.
As some of you know already that I was briefly unwell for 3 days–from last Friday to Sunday. I caught flu from someone in our Library.Yet, I am grateful, first to God, and second to Aline–one of my friends. God recovered me faster than I ever imagined, and He sent me a friend to give me physical support during my recuperation period.
I stayed indoors on Friday because of the flu.The moment Aline heard that I was unwell, she came to see me that very Friday. We had our usual prayers, chatted, and laughed together before she left me alone to rest. She returned to my flat the following morning–Saturday. Aline was a God sent angel for me. She took care of me and my needs.
She ensured that I had the right medication, and I ate something I love–bread. I did not go outside my flat in the cold to buy my flu medication and food because she took care of that without me asking her. She argued that I could to focus on recovering. What a special friend she is! Besides, I was glad to have someone to talk to, and laugh with during my recuperation.That is the best gift you can ever have when you are unwell during your weight loss programme. Someone, who gives you the cause to stay positive.
The point I am making here is that anything can happen to you during the weigh-loss programme. You need to be surrounded by people, who care for you, and who share the same values in life as you. I am glad that Aline and I share the same values on caring for ourselves and others. Above all, you need to have a relationship with God. I listen and speak with God, even during my exercises. It is very important to harness your spiritual growth during the weight loss programme. I am convinced that weight-loss is never something you engage into without God. Otherwise, you are likely to drop-out. I hope that this short story demonstrates our need for spiritual and physical support during the entire weight loss programme.

HOW TO DEAL WITH FEELINGS OF WEAKNESS: ADD HONEY TO DRINKING WATER
I felt weak during the first few minutes of my exercises.You must remember that my blend broke down, and that I had plans to get a new one on Sunday, but obviously, I did not because of the illness. So, I decided to use lemons and warm water for the exercises. However, I noticed that I felt weak during the first few minutes of my exercises. This was not because of the flu, but there was nothing in the plain water apart from the lemon juice. I realised that I needed to create natural energy for me to take during the exercises. Thus, I added one tablespoon of honey to my lemon-warm water. Voila! That was a perfect solution for me to feel energetic and continued with my exercises until I reached my target. I hope that you have also learned to added honey to your lemon-warm water for your exercise to be enjoyable.
DAY 15 (AFTER A FLU)
What I did today
I did not wake up early to do my exercises in the morning as usual although I am better and on my way to full recovery. I wanted to spend enough time in bed to make sure that I had enough bed rest, and to make sure that I was strong enough to jump. Therefore, I only resumed my exercises very late in the afternoon, to be precise, between 16:00 and 17:00 hours. I stretched slowly my body so that I could also listen to it as I exercised. Then, I jumped 1000 counts from 16:50 to 17:13 hours, which is about 23 minutes. I am happy to return to my exercise programme.
